henry choice collaboration
This project was a collaboration between Parsons Paris and Henry Choice, a Norwegian brand specializing in denim jeans that was established in 1989.
We were required to design and make a complete look, consisting of at least three garments. However, there were limitations to the types of fabric we were allowed to use: 100% cotton denim, sweatshirt fleece in grey, single jersey in white, and plaid cotton. For the denim, we could only use the rolls Henry Choice provided. Moreover, we had to mix at least two fabrics in the look, where denim was mandatory as a choice.
For my look, I decided to base it off of the company’s arched logo and brand statement: “Comfort is a State of Mind.” Comfort to me is the ability to adjust and move freely in the clothes I am wearing, so through that idea, I created a look that included: a denim jacket, layered denim jeans and a deconstructed T-shirt. For the color palette, I wanted to stay close to the brand’s colors, which are essentially red, black, grey and white.
