Born in Taiwan, but raised in Thailand, Chia-Yu, known by her peers as Beryl, is an open-minded and determined fast learner, who is passionate about the arts, and is constantly striving for new knowledge. She was educated in an international enivronment, and therefore is interested in learning new cultures and customs as well.
As a 2023 BFA Fashion Design graduate from Parsons Paris, The New School, she is highly skilled in pattern-making, draping, retouching and stitching (including by hand or domestic and industrial machines). Her professional work experiences include a 6-months internship at Rabanne as a Studio Assistant to the Flou design team, and she is currently a freelance seamstress and modéliste at Valette Studio & Atelier.
